Artist's Statement

I wanted to try to live in accord with the promptings which came from my true self. Why was that so very difficult? ~Hermann Hesse

Creating art serves as a form of meditation. It is during this time when my subconscious opens up and I lose myself in color, line, and form. The result is a record of the hidden truth of myself, even if it is so for a brief moment in time. It is my spiritual relationship with nature, which drives me to create art as a means to understand and make sense of my role in life. Art is my conduit to express my spirituality and innermost feelings of my relationships with people and my experiences.
